Hi, welcome back!
After laying low toward the end of last semester, its time to start planning for the Spring.
The garden is cleaned up and mulched thanks to Ryan, Sara, and Mike.
As many of you are taking Urban Farming on Fridays, workdays will probably stick to weekend days.
The plan for Saturday:
– Transfer compost into the tumbler
– Compile list of seeds we’d like to purchase
– Draw out a garden plan accordingly
– Start a garden record book (to keep track of frost dates, when we plant, when things sprout, etc. Will be helpful for whoever is involved next year)
– Possibly start preparing beds/seed boxes for planting in early February
– Distribute watering days
Last semester I worked on a farming calendar for Zone 7 (Baltimore). I want to edit a few things before printing more but let me know if you would like one, I will hopefully print them this weekend. Open for trades!
